Saturday, May 31, 2008 - Your Very Own Fairy Godmother was thrilled to be a part of Rich and Eleanor's wedding! These two New Yorkers (along with most of their guests!) traveled to Austin for a wedding at the
Driskill with both New York elegance and Texas charm.
Eleanor's parents have a farm with cedar trees about an hour and a half away, and the cedar was used in much of the decor- from the invitations, to the seating cards, to the table arrangments and even the cake stand!
A special thank you to Wendy and the
Driskill staff,
Eric Doggett Photography,
Bobalu Cigar Rollers,
Westbank Florist,
Alamo HD Video,
The Pictures, and
Ilios Lighting for creating a night to remember!
Here are some images courtesy of Austin photographer
Eric Doggett.
I love these photos of Eleanor!

Rich before the ceremony

Eleanor steals a final glance in the mirror...

This is an amazing photo- Preacher Matt in the back clapping for the happy couple!

Here is the cedar stump from the farm as the cake pedestal- isn't it gorgeous?!

Ilios Lighting did a beautiful job.

More cedar from the farm to dress up the escort cards

The Driskill made an unbelievable groom's cake- it looked like a real leather golf bag! (and tasted amazing!)

The bride's father and his mother share a dance

Eleanor presented her grandmother with her bouquet

Bobalu Cigar rollers were there to personally roll cigars for the guests

The wedding party

Rich's friends got together to take this picture featuring a family photo of the groom

The bride and groom danced to their first dance one last time at the end of the evening- it was a romantic touch by their band, The Pictures.

The Pictures were amazing- they really kept the party going!

What a talented groom! Rich played "Piano Man" to a rousing crowd.

What a gorgeous photo by Eric Doggett- he was such a pleasure to work with and captured some beautiful moments!
