Cabo San Lucas - Destination Wedding - Ceremony Video

Yes, I'm aware that the sound and video quality are less than impressive. You can see the waves crashing, and they were VERY loud. Needless to say, this home video captured all of the background noise. Yes, I also know that it starts out sideways, but I promise that it changes to a horizontal picture very quickly. Regardless, the bride looks AMAZING, and the ceremony was incredibly touching. In total, it's about 10.5 minutes. Enjoy!

"We are gathered here in the presence of God, and the family and friends of Ben & Ashley as Ben & Ashley come to be joined in marriage. Marriage is a holy state instituted by God, commended in scriptures as honorable, enter it lawfully and in true affection. It ought not be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and reverently, dually concerned the causes for which it was ordained. It was ordained for the allowing of union between man and woman. The natural instincts and affection being directed right; they should live in purity and honor. It was ordained for the companionship, help and comfort which husband and wife ought to have for each other. It was ordained for the increase of mankind and for the good order in our society. In marriage, husband and wife belong to one another.

Who presents this woman, Ashley, to be married to this man, Ben?

Joel: I do.

Thank you. (If guests are still standing…If you so desire, you may be seated.) Ben, Ashley, I require and charge you both, as in the presence of God, if either of you know of any reason you may not lawfully be joined together in marriage, do now confess it.

Ben, you are going to say after me: I do solemnly declare / that I know not / of any lawful impediment / why I , Ben, / cannot lawfully be joined in marriage to Ashley.

Lady: I do solemnly declare / that I know not / of any lawful impediment / why I , Ashley, / cannot lawfully be joined in marriage to Ben.

Ben, will you take Ashley to be your lawful wedded wife and friend? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her in sickness and in health, and be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?

I will

Ashley, will you take Ben to be your lawful wedded husband and friend? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him in sickness and in health, and be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?

I will

We have come to the point where we are going to have the exchange of vows where you will be committing yourself to each other in marriage. As you look each other in the face, I want to wish you all the best. Let no one or anything come between you. Let this relationship be dominated by love, trust, commitment, communication, respect, maturity, and a willingness to work together for the good of the relationship. Marriage is said to be a partnership. In this partnership, what you put into it is what you’ll get it out of it. This relationship, then will be what you make of it. Ben, Ashley, Ashley, Ben, good or bad, it is up to you both, under God, it is more than possible for this relationship to be the best ever, second to none. Marriage is founded on sincerity and understanding which leads to tolerance, confidence, and trust. The Word of God reminds us that “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”1 Corinthians 13:4-8

As you look at each other in the face, Ben, you will be saying after me:

I, Ben, / do take you, Ashley, / to be my lawful wedded wife and friend, / to have and to hold / from this day forward.

Lady:

I, Ashley, / do take you, Ben, / to be my lawful wedded husband and friend, / to have and to hold / from this day forward.

Now together, both of you will be saying:

For better or for worse / for richer or poorer / in sickness and in health / to love and to cherish / as long as we both shall live, / this is my solemn vow.

You will be giving and receiving rings as a token of the covenant made.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for Ashley and Ben and for the commitment made in marriage. I commit them to You in prayer and ask Your blessings upon them. May they find contentment and satisfaction in each other. Now to give and receive rings as a token of the covenant of marriage; commit these rings in prayer and ask Your blessings upon them. Set these rings apart from other use, except that of binding together Ben & Ashley in holy matrimony. Receive these rings unto purpose, bless Ben, bless Ashley, as they wear these rings and may these rings be a constant reminder to them of the love they share and commitment made in marriage this day. Amen."

(Ben repeat) I give you this ring / as a sign of our marriage, /Amen.

(Ashley repeat) I give you this ring / as a sign of our marriage, /Amen.

(Join right hands – under. Join left ring hands – above.) All stand, please.

Ashley, Ben, Ben and Ashley, no longer 2 but 1, whom God has joined together, let no man put asunder.

Prayer: The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace now and forever more. Amen

For as much as Ben and Ashley have consented together in marriage, having witnessed the vows Ashley and Ben have made to each other surrounded by their family and friends, God’s love, and the sand, the sun, and the ocean, by the authority vested in me by Universal Life Church and the state of Texas, I now declare you, Ben and Ashley, husband and wife.

You may kiss the bride!

I have the greatest pleasure of presenting Mr. & Mrs. LeDesma!

As you congratulate them, I want to say to you, Mr. & Mrs. LeDesma, that in the school of marriage, you have both gained your Doctorate. Dr. of Love and Dr. of Love. For you, Ben, PhD – Please her daily, and for you, Ashley, PhD, Please him daily, and you will have a togetherness without end. The Lord bless you!

A Beaumont Bride!

By Holly Appel

Amberly and Beau are the sweetest couple! We really enjoyed helping them plan their dream day in Beaumont. The ceremony and reception were held at the Mary and John Gray Library on Lamar University's campus. Amberly's incredible taste was displayed throughout the wedding from the linens to the programs. The professional images below are courtesy of Photography by Janine.

Events in Bloom created beautiful bouquets and boutonnières for the wedding party. A picture charm was added to the bride’s bouquet as a memorial for her father that had passed away.

Glenda Little with Dressy Designs made all the stationery items including the invitations, programs, menu cards, favor boxes, and rose petal cones.

Divisi Strings performed the ceremony music.

Frey’s Florist created the perfect centerpieces covered in crystals for Amblerly.
Distinctive Details added the romantic room ambience with their beautiful linens.

Kathy Ponder baked these two gorgeous and yummy cakes!

The lighting provided by Bright Star Productions was the perfect finishing touch for the room with their amber uplighting and custom made gobos with the couple’s new monogram.

Fireworks at Lakeway Resort & Spa

Here is an image of the "surprise" that the bride and groom gave to their guests at the recent Lakeway Resort & Spa wedding. Wolf Stuntworks put on an amazing show. Everyone was completely blown away by the magnificence of the fireworks. It was the "icing on the cake" to an already amazing wedding. (We will have a video snipet from the wedding very soon! Subscribe to the blog -there is a link above- so that you will be notified of new posts.)

Jill & Rhett get married at The Driskill hotel

Jill & Rhett both live in Washington D.C., and our team really enjoyed working with them and having the opportunity to take care of them on their big day! Jill and Rhett were married on Sunday, Oct 12 at the always amazing Driskill Hotel. The ceremony was performed by a family friend and was truly magical. The bride and groom shared personal vows and had the Fairy Godmothers in tears! This couple is one of a kind, and we were honored to be a part of their special day.

These cuff links were a gift from Jill, how cool!

One awesome thing about the Driskill is all the little rooms that surround the main ballroom. There are so many great places to shoot, all with different moods.

Tyler Schmitt of Schmitt Photography said, "Kelly and the gang over at Your Own Fairy Godmother did a awesome job of keeping thing on track."
Here are the guys praying right before the ceremony.

I love this picture! You can even see the champagne flute glowing between them.

To love and laughter and happily ever after….. Congratulations Jill and Rhett!

Wonderful Los Angeles couple gets married at Lakeway Resort & Spa

We had an AMAZING weekend with Alana, Brandon, their families, and their friends. Many of Austin's best vendors came together to create an unforgettable weekend for some very special people. Below you will find a mixture of professional and amateur images from the weekend.

Roll the credits:
Venue: Lakeway Resort & Spa
Lighting: Ilios Lighting
Photo booth: Say Cheese Photo Booths
Flowers: Shannon Strempel at Bouquets of Austin
Cake: Simon Lee Bakery
Ceremony Musicians: Arundel Ensemble
Coordinator: Dawn Earley - Your Very Own Fairy Godmother
Reception Band: The Crush
Rentals: Marquee Events
Custom Table Topper Linens: The Missing Piece
Photographer: Tyler Schmitt - Schmitt Photography
Videographer: Chris P. Jones - Mason Jar Productions
Hair: Jeni Hoover
Makeup: Vanessa Rosales
Fireworks: Wolf Stuntworks
Save The Dates: Inviting Pear
Invitations, Programs, Menus, Escort Cards: Kerri - Inside the Envelope
Rehearsal Dinner: Stubbs Barbeque
Mariachis: Mariachi Garibay

Horseshoe favors offered a Texas-style welcome at each place setting for rehearsal dinner at Stubbs Barbeque in Austin.

The family surprised the Father of the Bride with mariachis to celebrate his Hispanic heritage. Mariachi Garibay was on-time and ready to start the party with some great music and dancing. The surprise brought tears to the bride's dad's eyes.
Shannon at Bouquets of Austin created a ringbearer "pillow" out of flowers.

The memorial table held a cross and two etched vases with the names of loved ones who are no longer with us.
The vases are keepsakes for the families.

The altar was covered in water-filled vases. Each had river rocks on the bottom and 1-3 floating candles. Our amateur picture doesn't do it justice.

Kerri at Inside the Envelope hand made the most amazing programs (invitations, escort cards, menus, etc.) Again, the picture doesn't do it justice!

A custom aisle runner with the couple's monogram, tons of rose petals, and large vases with river rocks and floating candles created a truly breath-taking aisle.

The bride and her Fairy Godmother, Dawn Earley.

I LOVE their shoes!!!

This was in an outdoor seating area used during cocktail hour and the reception.

The escort card table was gorgeous. Shannon at Bouquets of Austin created a tree adorned with orchids and hanging candles. The base was covered in moss and river rocks.
Kerri with Inside the Envelope hand made the beaded escort cards.
The base of the tree.
This arrangement was on the hors d'oeuvres table.
The couple had personalized napkins and coasters available at the bar. This is the groom's favorite image so far!

Ilios Lighting and Bouquets of Austin made an already spectacular venue even more gorgeous!

The bride and groom never had the opportunity to taste the cakes prior to the wedding during their trips back and forth to Austin. They were thrilled with the way that they both looked, but the best was when they fed each other their first bites and were stunned by how delicious they were. Fairy Godmother's own Martha Perez said they were "rich & delicious"!
